Could anyone recommend me some movies/series from said "theme". My definition of it is pretty loose, but some i've liked are (and to show what type i'm looking for):

Little known 1996 film

Stars Elisabeth Shue, Kyle MacLachlan, and Dermot Mulroney

It's not exactly post apocalypse but it does involve a temporary loss of all electricity due to a magnetic pulse?

Fairly gripping and memorable -- shows the possible breakdown of society under such circumstances.
