That with Foxfire I do not have to log in , I already logged in,
but W/Internet Explorer I do.
Anybody else notice this? | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.

| | Posted: | | | | Ah, I follow. If you sign out, you always have to sign back in. Always. It's the same way with pretty much every web (and non-web) application in existence. To not require a person to log back in after they log out is a major security violation (imagine banking websites doing this). |

But I'm not really signed in all the time it would appear.
I logged out on both browsers.
The I used the Internet Explorer to access the the site, but didn't log in, I went to the forum page and 0I was not listed.
Then I used Foxfire to access the the site, it indicated I was logged in on the home page.
I checked the Internet Explorer, doing a refresh, still not logged in.
Went back to the Foxfire and accessed the forum page and I was listed.
Then I refreshed the Internet Explorer forum page and there I was listed.
I never signed in with either browser.
The internet Explorer home page still has the signi requwst at the top on the page.
But Foxfire always comes up with my alias and signout button on the hhome page.
Ha.
This did not used to happen before I bought the new PC w/Vista, the 2nd of September.
I always had to sign in, no matter what.

It's no big deal, but when things work one way for so many years, you notice when they change. firefox can remember your sign in details and automatically apply them for you. All that is happening is that when you return to the site (after logging out) is that firefox logs you in again. I'm surprised you haven't noticed this before at all your sites you visit..  | | | | Paul |

I'm using explorer now and it didn't provide the name and password until I went to the sign in page, Foxfire used to work that way also. On Foxfire I don't even have go to the sign in page, I'm signed as soon on the home page. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.

When I sign out both ways it resets the cookies, but Invelos is the only set of cookiies there so who knows after I get lot of cookies in the mix. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.
