Thought I'd start a thread to congregate all the useful links around the forums

Came across Den of Geek today which has some interesting stuff on.
Two topics I read were on what Simon Pegg had to say about the Spaced remake
and 30 upcoming sequels you may or may not know about, although most of those are no brainers.  They have Starship Troopers 2 on there although I think its shoud say 3 as 2 came out in 2004

xkcd - A (usually) hilarious web-comic that is updated a couple times a week.

CastleCops startuplist - to be used in conjunction with
sysinfo.org's staruplist when checking your startuplist for unwanted or malicious startup items.

D-A-L forums helped me rid my PC of a virus infection recently, very knowledgable and friendly people.  They also have a couple of threads on how to keep your PC clean and running smooth.
LINK and
LINK

Online Documentaries

HD-Trailers.net and
Daves Trailer page

Comic Covers - A collection of old comic book covers.

Simply Syndicated - a collection of podcasts done by a group of friends.  They've gotten me through many boring days at work

Feel free to add more *cough* Rico *cough*

Anyone know why I can only have 1 link per line?

Here's a neat link that I found on another forum today. Remember the great artwork on 80's VHS boxes? This site has a ton of archive box artwork: http://www.critcononline.com/video_companies_cover_art.htm

No, the link should say 2 (as the previous 2 is a steaming pile), but to be accurate it should say 3.

[edit] I just looked, and it says Super Troopers 2, and further down the list is Starship Troopers 3: Marauder.  No mistake on their part afaik. [/edit]

To the card/poker players. Ever wonder how far you were ahead in that hand when the case-ace came on the river to destroy your dreams? Find out for sure by using the odds calculator on this page:

Ever like that video on youtube so much you want to keep it. http://keepvid.com/

Wondering if it's worth risking it to download that torrent of the hot new flick you missed and can't wait for the dvd? Usually you can find out with http://www.vcdquality.com/

Love those old Iron Maiden album covers? http://www.derekriggs.com/

Actually if you read the comments someone (actually i think there were at least 2 people) commented about it being 3 not 2 because 2 was direct to dvd and the author appears to have updated his list with the information from those comments.

Most people probably know of this aready but TweakUI is a very useful tool from MS for changing alot of settings in windows (xp only?) that would otherwise be hidden.  A couple of features I use it for are autologon and one that allows you to change the default links that appear on the left pane when saving a file.
