I have been searching all over for a profile system as good as DVD Profiler, but for Video Games.  I've already got online listings on both Gamespot and IGN, but I'd rather have something fast and user driven.  That way, we end up with high quality covers and better, faster, information.

I have a feeling that it would be a very popular product within weeks of launch.

I also read through the CD Profiler thread that I found with search, and wouldn't mind that as well, but I tend to think that video games would be a natural fit for something like this as well.

Book Profiler would be interesting as well, but I think that something like Shelfari has that market cornered for now.  Even though it is online, it is now owned by Amazon.com, and has access to practically every book ever written.

Anyway, what do you think about a potential Video Game Profiler?  Would this be useful to any of you?

Oh, come on.  I did a search of the forums, and didn't find a pre-existing topic for this type of software.  Don't know what you're waiting for, but if it's off topic garbage (like the "CD Profiler?" topic), then it's simply a waste of time.

All I'm doing is requesting a new software, and as far as I know, Invelos exists because the creator WANTS to do more than DVDProfiler.

No offense intended, by the way.

Well, if you already found out about the 'CD-Profiler' situation, widening your search a tidbit (or reading some of the threads that come up in the search) might have given you the answer to your question (that, btw, is asked almost as regularly as the CD-Profile one):

it's not there (at least not by Invelos), it's not likely to come into existance any time soon, there's other software you might want to try (see the CD-Profiler, VHS-Profiler or Games-Profiler threads for links) and the question has been answered (with more or less off topic remarks) time and time again.

Just to mention the latest three.
This doesn't mean that you had a bad idea (in fact it's a great idea), it's just that you weren't the first to have it and you will not be the last.
No offence meant, but this and the related question for a CD-Profiler come up about every two weeks.
The answer is sadly always the same: It's rather unlikely that invelos will ever develop a CD- or Games-Profiler.

The quoted threads give hints on where to find quite satisfying alternatives for a Games-Profiler.

Have fun
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!

Not to mention what you would get with a Google search on the old Intervocative site.

Heh, thanks guys.

I suppose I thought just searching "Games Profiler" or "Games" would be too vague, because I figured Board Games would be thrown into the mix, and, while that'd be a fun twist for those of us that play board games (Settlers of Catan, games from the CheapAssGames company) to have a place to keep that data as well.

I appreciate the help, none-the-less.  I did find a few of the ones mentioned in the other threads, but I really like the functionality of DVDprofiler and wanted to support a company that I already know is great.  But since there's probably not a chance of that happening, as far as a video game profiler from Invelos is concerned, I'll have to look into other game profilers.

Sadly, yes.
I'm sure that even those who are quite tired of answering the questions for a (enter collectible here)-Profiler, appreciate the idea as such.
And who knows, if enough people ask for it, and if Ken dicovers a new timesource, maybe he will one day consider the idea of adapting the DVD-Profiler code for other collectibles as well.
But don't bet on it. I'm still waiting for my Whisky-Profiler  .
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!

Oooo...Board Game Profiler...I don't think that one's ever come up before!    I have stacks of old board games...I need my Board Game Profiler so I can properly catalog them all!

To be fair to the original poster, I just tried searching on "games profiler" using the forum search and got no obvious relevant results.
Now we've all been around long enough to know only to use search on one word, which is why Michael found the topics using "games".
But Specter is new here and it's only fair we cut him some slack, especially knowing how bad the search option can be!

Edit: sorry, got called away in the middle of typing this, so now I see this has pretty much been covered!

I've only been browsing the forums for the past couple of days.  I was unaware of how to search, and yeah, when I searched I found no relevant topics.  Anyway, thanks for all the help!
