The latest from Google  - Just released this afternoon.

The question needs to be asked... Is Google actually SkyNet and when does it become self-aware

Just tried it. Does look nice. Not sure if it will replace my firefox though.
Unfortunately, I can't use DVDprofiler at the moment due to lack of a Windows computer.

Just downloaded it myself, looks nice indeed. But where is the "home"-button?

Gotta turn it on. In the options section Basics > Home Page > Show Home Button

Cool,
the great collector of personal data and surveyor of user characteristics now has his own browser!

Just you wait till you find out about it's "phone home" capabilities.

Google is not SkyNet, but it might be the "Big Brother"
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I just downloaded it as well,, One thing I see it does or doesn't do,, is.., When you have different family log in names (off the start key -(windows XP),., only the current log in name ( myself) will get google chrome., the others ( in my family) won't have it ,unless they too install it., .  Nah, I won't tell them..
It's basically a new browsing tool-( past history pages that are , of course, only in your log in name or history.)
I'm sure there is more to find in google chrome, but I'll check it further during the week. I had and still do have ' Google toolbar' ., and off the home page there was My account ( google mail etc), and there was the past history links as well,, for me it dated back to last February.. Yikes the stuff I was looking at then..

The browser might be good, but it will not find it's way to my computers with the current EULA

Especially this section is nice:
By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services

So Goblinsdoitall's comment was spot on

(English)
my short version: All keystrokes entered in the address bar are send to google
Privacy Tarnishes Google Chrome

Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions.

I wish my words were so profound that Google would want to reproduce, adapt, translate, etc. them.  Sadly, that's not the case.

I will say this for it.  Pages really do seem to load markedly faster...

...But Opera still came as nr. 1 in the heavy Acid 3 test which was performed on all four browsers.

No need to change my lovely Opera, don't know about you guys
I wouldn't dare to cheat on my standard Internet browser at the moment
