I'm still trying to figure how this all works.., At this point I have kinda figured that it doesn't matter how many green arrows -over the course of many posts, it only applies to say One post/thread only.
I have received maybe 100 green arrows over the year, and only a couple or maybe three red arrow., But have never received a  gold  star which is fine.
But in Mediadoggs case I can see by helping out DVDspot with that excellent bulk edit program, with that one post/thread he received maybe thousands ?,, to get to the four star crest. But the bulk edit program through his web site only shows 677 views. How many of the DVDspot people actually voted with the arrows? I don't believe 'everyone' of them did, as most of them came here with a small chip on their shoulder as they had been snubbed over at dvdspot. So I don't think that many of them or most of them voted., or even knew about what those arrows were.
The ones who voted mainly were our own peers here. Yet I never voted, not because I didn't think he warranted the green arrows, ( he certainly did), but since the post was out of my league in understanding the excel program/language , I had no big interest in the post itself. But did monitor the success of the stories.
So ..,, the jump from one star to two to three to four..!! all took place over a 7 day period. !
How many votes is this?  100?  10000?...  don't know./.
anyone know for sure how all this works???

I'm almost tempted to ask: 

To all our Gold star members ( except for mediadogg), what was that  'One' contributing factor, or post that You are Aware of. ,,,-  that presented your Gold star to you???
