| | Posted: | | | | Yesterday on my daily 3 mile walk, which is mostly through tract homes, I noticed many political signs in home owners front lawns. Many signs were for Obama, somewhat fewer for McCain & two FOR prop. 8. Prop. 8 is highly controversial amendment in California, & I'm somewhat curious to see how forum members feel on this issue:
Vote 'FOR' Prop. 8 - Says marriage is between a man & women 'Gays' cannot marry in California.
Vote 'No' Prop. 8 - Gays can marry in California.
I'm casting my vote on Prop. 8 "NO" for many reasons.
This might make a better poll, not sure how to do so.

My priest married her partner in a civil ceremony in the courtyard of the church several months ago and then had a religious blessing inside the church on another date. I am a bit on the fence when it comes to allowing them to adobt - there I do recognize that there is a third party interest (the child) that needs to be considered. And I doubt any country has yet reached the development level where the child would not experience any problems from this (other children teasing etc). I guess this would be a bit comparible to the problems kids of mixed marriages had many (hopefully) years ago. | | | Regards

There are reasons why these things have been overwhelmingly frowned upon (and illegal) for thousands of years, but somehow, we are now "more enlightened"?
This is simply the result of the ever expanding liberal agenda and removal of God from our lives through the media, especially movies and television to brainwash our society into thinking that it is wrong to be judgmental of other people no matter what they do. It's callled relativism, and is the path we are far down already.
Just as with children, societies have to have boundaries. Sadly those boundaries are disappearing. Our civilization will not be not far behind! | | | | Hal |
