With over half the state population concentrated in Cook and the surrounding ring of counties, it is very difficult for anyone to become elected to a state-wide office that can't swing the vote from that highly populated and highly corrupt area. Things there are run pretty much the same today as they have been since the days of Al Capone. We were discussing this at work this morning, and decided what Illinois needs to do is to build an exclusive convicted ex-governor prison. All states could send them here, but since we have so many, transportation costs would be minimized. | | | | Kevin |

Since when do reporters submit questions in advance of a presser...some returned with notes saying "inappropriate". Smacks of attempts to control the press and censorship. Don't ask any question he doesn't want to answer.

And yes, that includes the Republican governors who've been nailed as well, since they can't operate without the blessing of the Chicago machine.
