When I converted my collection from 2.5, I got a message saying that 42 UPCs were unconverted and telling me what to do about it.  Bot I must have misunderstood the instructions because I now can't seem to figure out what to do to check on these UPCs.  Does anyone know what to do?
Regards,

Robert

OK, but the list is merely a list of UPCs.  Is there a way to use the list to determine which ones are a problem or do I just have to search for them one by one? In other words, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to fix the problem disks once I identify them, but I can't figure out how to do that.
Regards,

Robert

Thats easy. Go to

Collection > Flags > Load Set.. and open the Unconverted UPCs.LST which is showed.

Now you find the faulty UPCs at the top where you can edit them.

OK, I guess I was overconfident when I said that editing the UPCs would be easy.  I tried scanning a few disks and they didn't get found so I can't update the UPCs that way.  I looked in the Add To Collection title list, and the disks are all there, they just have different UPCs.  Is there an easy way to extract that UPC data to update the entry?

If you did what he says to do here:

Thats easy. Go to

Collection > Flags > Load Set.. and open the Unconverted UPCs.LST which is showed.

Now you find the faulty UPCs at the top where you can edit them.

then find the titles in the left hand thumbnail list of the main screen, and use the DVD>Change UPC command to correct the UPC or Disc ID one by one.  You may have to search through the list to find them after doing the first one.

Rifter,

Thanks.  I've got all that.  My question is where I get the disk IDs or UPCs to change in DVD>Change UPC.  My problem is that all my disks are in a changer, so it is a real hassle to have to go to each one, remove it from the changer and scan it in DVD Profiler.  Likewise, all my DVD cases are in storage and I'd have to make a trip and hunt through boxes to retrieve them.  The kicker is that all my unconverted disks are big titles (like LOTR: The Fellowship of the Rings and Godfather II).  They are all in the Add DVD database, it is just that I don't know how to link what's in the database with what's in my collection already.  All I really need to be able to do is to cut and past the UPC or Dick ID from the Add DVD database into the clipboard so that I can copy it into DVD>Change UPC.
Regards,

Robert

I don't understand what this is complaining about--I checked 2 of the titles in the list (21 Jump Street Seasons 2 and 3) and the UPC on the box matches the one on my DVD in the profile.  What is it complaining about?

I have the same problem.  I do follow the instructions( I copied the instructions after downloading my profile), I click on the unconverted UPCs list but nothing happens on the thumnail screen or anywhere else.  I have a descrepency of 5 dvds.  Since my total dvds is over 2600, I do not wish to go through each one to locate the missing dvds.

I also would like to know what the check marks next to the dvds represent.

Thanks

Are you using the entire UPC/EAN? Remember, with the new version of DVDP, we don't strip off the first and last numbers.

21 Jump Street Seasons 2: UPC = 013131-281095
21 Jump Street Seasons 3:  UPC = 013131-288490

What same problem? They are in a changer(s)?

That means the titles are flagged. You can clear those flags if you want to. I did after I fixed my titles that were wrong.

My problem is that I cannot convert the upcs in my uncoverted list, because the list does not show which dvds upcs are the problem.  I load the list, and then nothing happens after I double click on the list.

Once you have your unconverted list in view, you have to do this...

Highlight the specific title
In the Menu, Go to DVD>>Change UPC
That's it.

The check is in the mail.

I do have another question.  Several of the dvd upcs that need to be changed, have the corre
t 12 digit numbers, but DVDPro does not delete the check mark.  The dvds are in the database, and I am told that the dvd is in my collection.  Is this a glitch that will be corrected eventually?

How can I find the dvds that were not carried over from 2.5?  this is going to bug me all night!!!

Thanks again
