Stimulus Watch

Find projects by state or territory
then
Click on your state to see some of the projects included in this bill. I  found it to be very interesting and informative. Also you can see that a lot  of city's & towns are not listed. I wonder if the leaders of the missing city's and towns are just "not on the ball" so to speak and did not submit a
wish list?

My poor little city is not listed, why oh why?

Bot I don't see very many new jobs in there or saved ones for that matter.<sigh> Time will tell.

Welcome to Amerika, comrade.

POTUS must not be too concerned however, he and VPOTUS did not even bother to plane pool to Colorado today, Air Force One AND Two made the trip, while Air Force Three flew to Italy.

Maybe it depends on the town.  Just looked up my city and there are a mountain of proposed projects.  Some pretty stupid and some quite interesting.  What I didn't know was that folks get to vote on the projects.  Interestingly, all of the construction-oriented projects are getting positive votes and all the community service projects are getting negative votes.  By construction-oriented, I mean let's build/fix something.  I don't know about your town, but building/fixing stuff means jobs around here.  Much needed since GM killed the plant here.  I'll be interested to see what affect the voting has on what gets implemented.

With Obama in town I thought I'd see my name on the list, as I could use about 4 more DVD racks.

The check is in the mail.
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

While I understand the usefulness of tasers for police officers, it bothers me that tasers are on the list when public schools are closing due to a lack of public funding. There should be no uniform on this list for anyone in any state until our schools are properly cared for.

Don't get me started, Dan. Both Tasers and Schools are problems for the state and local taxation system NOT the Feds.

After reading this list and the items on it, I'm reminded of my younger days and water balloons. Because, on the surface this thing seems rather like a water balloon in the way the money is being distributed. You throw it at your target and let it splash where it may.

When I look closer, it is a list of pet projects. Will someone please explain why so many uniforms are on this thing. I'm sure if I study it more my dislike will only grow due to the pattern that is already becoming evident.

As they say, hide it in plain sight.

The government has jumped from 34% to 41% of GDP since yesterday.

In the Social Democracies (a euphemism for Socialist States) of Europe, the government averages 47% of GDP.

Congratulations.  We're almost there.
