Hi!

How should we scan a "Wendecover". The contribution rules allow any combination but i think there should be a rule for that.

In my opinion, we should take front and back from the Wendcover. Back from first side would be okay, but by no means the first side with the ugly "FSK-Flatschen".

Situation about the Front is clear. What about the back?

I strongly prefer the back cover featuring the EAN bar code. But then I'm one of the guys who also prefer the front cover with the FSK rating, even though the rating logo is much larger as needed (forced by law).

In my opinion the back with EAN should be, to take care it's really the cover of the right movie. (So imho this is something that should be right, that's why i think the EAN/UPC is a nearly a must)

I'm one of the guys who prefer the front without FSK-Logo.  But this is just my preferance.

If a scan with rating on front is much better than the existing without logo i would vote yes.
If a scan with same quality is pending without logo to replace a front with logo i would vote yes.

Perhaps you could make a poll to get the information which version is prefered by the most users. But i think you never can do it right for everyone, because everybody has his own preference.

I agree with VirusPil, front cover without logo, backcover with EAN.

Odd topic. Of course we use the Cover Images and not any other artwork.

These are the newish German covers that are reversible. On the outside they have to have the rating logo. On the other side they (mostly) have the same artwork but without the logo. Then on the back it's with and without the barcode.

And sometimes the back has on both sides the barcode.
Sometimes on the side without big rating logo on the front there is a small rating logo on back, most times not.
There are many possibilities in which way the releasing corparations handle with this new law.

And of course there are often covers that have no alternate turning cover. (But these are the easiest to handle  )

Are you talking about the newfangled german covers, that have other artwork on the backside of the cover?

From the ones I've seen it's the same artwork minus the ratings logo but I've heard some are different. The ruling given was that if it's the same other than the logo then the side without the logo could be used.
