this code brings up two in the data base.. both Exactly the same .. One reads USA locality and the other is Canada locality .. Both  have identical front and rear scans heavily tested with French Canadian front logo and on rear jacket.  Now apart from my region 1 friends here who have the usa locality ,.. there is also the upc code of #024543-203094 for the USA locality .. trying to figure out here if we have two of the same in the database with US locality inadvertently marked down ..
MY version of the same looks like this,, and the rest of my library has all English jackets- this one in particular keeps the group apart ..

well yes that is the USA locality  but the one I have does it also look like a title you would have bought at any american outlet ( retail?)  .. I think I have discovered two of the same with an additonal locality attached to the UPC I quoted which is 024543-203162  ..

BTW  when youupload your image to image shack can you not make it 500 x 700 ??/  makes the page a bit more manageable without having to go to a 28" monitor ...

The US locality version of this UPC was originally submitted by Dutch user eommen. Anyone entering the UPC afterwards probably didn't realize it was downloading as a US locality and not Canadian.

My US version has the other UPC code.

, sorry, changed it to a link. I have a decent size monitor, so I tend to just forget.

As far as your question, nope. I've yet to purchase a DVD in the States that has the alternative French (assuming that's French) subtitle.

I'm betting it was just a port over.

*edit*

DVDEmpire's scan also shows it sans the subtitle.

You will not find a US locality DVD with the title in French as well as English.  They will be English only.

The problem here is, and this is because you don't own this version, you don't know what changes to make.  Clearly the covers are wrong, but the UPC appears to be a valid R1US UPC, so you can't make it a Canada/Quebec profile.  What should you do?  If it were me, I would leave it alone.

who said I didn't own the version.??  .It appears you take it granted anything I'm looking to edit is something I don't own...

I do have my collection here for all to see ...

I did not take it for granted, I am taking you at your word.  You said that your version looked like the scan you posted earlier in this thread.  If it does, then you do not own the R1US version because an R1US version will never have French writing on the cover.  You may own the R1Canada/Quebec version but, again, if it has French writing on the cover, you do not own the R1US version.

Exactly,,, .. Meaning that my USA locality is the one I own,, or I could change it Canada Locality..,
which I could do as well.. BUT it should be changed to Canada/Quebec and the USA locality should be removed as it is NOT R1US edition .. But according to Our Data Bank it is...

I may not appear to try and keep the data perfect.. but  I am trying.. Why just leave it??..
When you and others have stated in the past it is better to have no data  than incorrect data ...

Correct me if I'm wrong, widescreenforever, but you are saying that both the Region 1 USA and Region 1 Canada share the same cover?

I looked online, and while 024543-203094 (Region 1 USA Locality) shows the correct cover, 024543-203162 (Region 1 USA Locality) shows the Canadian cover.

So, in a nutshell, both localities of UPC 024543-203094 show the same cover, where one (the US one) is wrong.

Now you are confusing me.  If you own the US locality, the cover can't look like the one you included in your first post.  I am sorry, but it is impossible because the US locality release would not have French on the covers.  So I have to ask, do your covers have French on them?  If yes, then you own the R1Canada/Quebec version.

Why leave it?  Because you don't know whether or not there is an R1US version under this UPC.  If your cover has French on it, then you should create a profile for that one and leave the current one alone until you know for sure.

Actually, he own's the US locality of UPC 024543-203162, the cover is incorrect.

I think the mention of UPC 024543-203094 is throwing things off, as that one is correct, but I think he might have been using that as an example of a correct profile. (I could very well be wrong, though).

In his first post he says, "MY version of the same looks like this," followed by a picture with French words circled.  That is why I am confused and why I asked what his cover looks like.  I freely admit I might be misunderstanding him...I need clarification.
