| Posted: | | | | A lot of the Front and Back images in my collection are disgraceful. They are blurry and I don't know how they were ever accepted in the first place.
Here are just 5 of the many examples I have found. Add these to your collection and take a look at what I mean:
Ghostbusters 9-317731-002540 South Park 9-325336-002971 The Awful Truth 5-021456-119943 Natural Born Killers 0-044007- 809624 The Shield 9-317731-018763
Could someone please advise how I can obtain decent images.
Thanks |

| Posted: | | | | The database is being rebuild from zero by the users. Look at your database and see if they are upgraded. If not perhaps you can scan the covers and contribute those covers? | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. | Posted: | | | | They were accepted because the alternative was no image.
If you have the old version of the program you could try downloading the profiles in that to see if the images are better, then you can help to improve the database by submitting them.
If not and if you don't have a scanner you'll have to wait for somebody else to submit them. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 | | | Last edited: by Lithurge |

Thanks I have hi-res quality scans for most of the ones you mention in the old version of DVDProfiler. I'm not submitting stuff to the new database yet until things settle down a bit. You just need to be patient. Better scans will come if you don't have the ability to scan the covers yourself. |

| Posted: | | | | cujo, as this is a user built database, stop complaining and just scan your own images and contribute them.
I by R4 dvd's and find even 6 months after they have been released no one from R4land has scanned anything. Frequently the profile won't even exist. | | | Home of the phpDVDProfiler forums |

What do you mean "right click on cover image"? Do I put my DVD in my DVD Rom drive in my computer? or do I have to use a printer/scanner? |

| Posted: | | | | A little while ago, I submitted the profile for the Region 4 (Australia) release of Lantana, complete with hi-res covers (9-321337-029153).
So that's one more into the pot, er, database.
It's not one on your list, as I don't own any of the ones on your list, but at least it's Region 4. | | | Last edited: by Squirrelecto |

| Posted: | | | | If you don't have a scanner just open your collection in the old IVS Profiler 2.4/2.5 at the same time you have 3.0 open. Go to the title in 2.4 Right click on the front cover image -> Copy Go to the title in 3.0 Right click on the 'no image' space for the front cover image of the title -> Paste repeat as necessary. Contribute all the updates so other people won't have to do so (they ARE doing the same for you; I've approved and submitted a good few R4 images in the last few days) | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

"first you open dvd profiler" - OK I'm OK with this part. "Select the dvd you wan't to contribute your cover scan" - Do you mean a DVD that I have in my collection in my house, not one that is on DVD Profiler yet? "on the right hand of dvd profiler it shows the image cover" - Yes I see this but the image cover is of a different dvd in my collection. OK then I get to the point where I scan my DVD and accept it but then where does the image go to? Is there an online graphic demonstration that takes me thru these steps? |
