| Posted: January 27, 2012 4:37 PM | | | | The DVDP Mobile forum says " yes". It's not an official Invelos product, but I doubt Ken will release an official version anytime soon. Android users seem to be extremely reluctant to pay for apps. I recently stumbled across a statistic comparing iOS to Android downloads in Germany. While more free apps are downloaded for Android than for iOS, the numbers for paid apps are extremely low. |

| Posted: February 29, 2012 1:22 PM | | | | I hate to say this, but I switched from DVD Profiler to "My Movies" (http://www.mymovies.dk/home.aspx) because their Android app is tightly (cloud) integrated with the desktop app.
I happily paid $4.99 for the pro version. |

Worst program I've ever seen...especially the Desk Top version. It's nothing more than a IMDB scraper and it doesn't do it very well either. You can't even use the app on your iPod Touch to browse your collection in a store if you don't have an active WiFi Connection...it won't even open. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection | | | Last edited: February 29, 2012 2:10 PM by Bad Father |

I was simply giving an alternative that I find works just as good as DVD Profiler. Maybe the iOS version isn't as polished as the Android version. I don't know. I do know it works great on Android. |

Again...who cares what you do? I sure as he|| don't. You posted in a public forum and I expressed my public opinion of your post. Why are you still here? You're nothing but a troll as far as I'm concerned. You're registered here since October of 2007 and you've made a whopping 2 posts the entire time. And you've contributed absolutely nothing to the community. So, frankly, IMO, your opinion means squat. You left DVD Profiler....so go away already and enjoy your garbage App. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

Anyways, I happened to Google search "DVD Profiler Android" and this happened to be the second result on the page. So, I suppose everyone who clicks the link after performing a search is considered a "troll". |

For those interested, there are a lot of additional details available here: http://www.mymovies.dk/switchfrom/dvd-profiler.aspxBest regards, Brian Binnerup My Movies | | | Last edited: March 10, 2012 9:07 AM by Binnerup |

Best regards,
Brian Binnerup My Movies And I must sincerely apologize to both you and forum member biloxiboi. My responses in this thread were both unwarranted and ill-informed. The App I had purchased was not My Movies Pro. It was actually iCollect Movies Pro. I confused the two due to the name that iCollect Movies gives itself when installed on the iOS device. I actually had checked out My Movies at one point and while I liked the program and it's abilities and functions, I was not interested in the pricing structure. Once again, please accept my sincerest apologies. Best Regards, Randy | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

Best regards,
Brian Binnerup My Movies Purely out of interest I downloaded and installed the program. First of all, the installation of the "My Collection" and the import to the mymovie cloud went very smooth. Then... a notification that more than 700 titles were not recognised (yes, I ticked 'other countries'). That's about 25% of my collection, not a good sign imo. At the moment, my on- and offline collections are synchronizing, and it's taking quite a lot of time (I quit the program after half an hour of syncing). At first glance, the profiles seem to convert nicely, but along the way I noticed quite a lot of missing back covers, scans that show part of the scannertop (incorrect framing/cropping), lots of incorrect crew/cast data of titles that I know to be 100% taken from the credits by myself (but hey, that's what you get by linking to imdb). Boxsets aren't converted and shown as I would like to. Titles like the Alien Quadrilogy show separate profiles for each film, while TV-series have child profiles (which I don't use in my DVDP collection). The screen is very static. Only the width of the title list can be adjusted, so the cast and crew list on the right are almost unreadable. The rating however, takes up half the screen. The crew list is barren. In most cases, only the director and writer are listed. The choices in the main categories (director, writer, producer, cinematography, editor, music, sound, art) are a little too sparce. I quite like the percentage indicator, showing fields that could be improved. Also, the original title field can handle non-western characters, so Asian titles can be shown. And when you add new titles, and type in the original title, the results show all titles with that original title. Ie "Zwartboek" also shows "Black Books", "El libro negro" and other cover titles. Overall, Mymovies doesn't really appeal to me. The quality of data is far from impressive, and there is a severe lack of titles in the database, especially from countries other than the US. I'll stick to DVD Profiler. | | | Last edited: March 10, 2012 1:53 PM by marcelb7 |

The paid app for android may be lower but I dont think that true for quality apps. There days a lot of people switch phones over time and certainly the popular apps a released in both IOS and Android. I own all 3 versions of Dvd Profiler and would have no problem buying it for Android (if it were available) now that I have an Android phone. Remember recently Android outsold Iphone. |

| Posted: June 25, 2012 10:11 PM | | | | I would certainly appreciate DVD Profiler being available for Android. Since I have paid for two other versions of DVD Profiler, I would gladly pay for the third to have the app on my Android system. I hope others feel the same. I am a long time believer in DVD Profiler and feel this would be yet another benefit to using this excellent application. |

| Posted: October 6, 2012 4:28 PM | | | | It has been quite a while since this post, has anyone heard anymore about the Android app. I think it totally silly to believe dvdprofiler users would not fork out say $5 for the app. I have had android phone for about six months and have already purchased three apps for $4.99 each. If invelos is to dumb to do this I wish some programmers would get together and create an app. I don't care about all the cute box screens etc, all I want is the list and a means to search it for when I am at a store or with friends and want to know if I have the movie. |
