Hoping Team GB will beat 2008's haul in the medal table. Anyone else going to be watching? Local coverage is fantastic. BBC have up to 24 HD channels on the go at once so you don't miss a thing.

Anyway, yay British woman's rowers Heather Stanning and Helen Glover who went through the woman's rowing heats with an olympic record.

Think we'll own the cycling again!

Phelps nearly screwed himself over by swimming a 'slow' heat. Made it to the final by 0.07 seconds.

Second Olympic record of the day gone. 100m woman's buttefly. American Dana Vollmer in 56.25 seconds.

I'm watching a mix between that, the mixed doubles badminton (GB 1 Russia 1) and the road race.

The two first came yesterday when in the archery competition. Near blind Im Dong-hyun got a score of 699 with 72 arrows. There was also a team world record in the same competition
