Do not enter media types (such as "Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital Copy") into the edition or title field. How does this affect the "Triple Play" banner that is often seen on such combo-sets? Like the more exact description that is used in the role, "Triple Play" tries to tell us the exact same thing: that the box contains a Blu-ray, a DVD and a Digital Copy. Given that, am I to assume that "Triple Play" shouldn't be entered as an edition either? |

Also, and more common, the Triple/Double Play release first followed by the pared down Single Disc release later on.
The Triple/Double play edition identifier is an easy way of identifying these releases in the 'add by name' section. Also, and more importantly, it's on the box.
However, if the box simply stated: Includes Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Copy but the actual words Triple Play were not on the box I wouldn't include it. |

Totally agree with Pantheon; I don't put in the "Includes Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Copy" as that is describing the Media, but Triple Play is a very useful delimiter for adding by name (and often other than Triple/Double Play there is no other information suitable for the Edition field so you get 3 titles with identical names and released on the same date) and is on the cover... in fact it sometimes says "Triple Play Edition"... | | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

While the ones I have seen only usually only say Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy or Digital Copy Special Edition, why wouldn't that be a valid entry for edition? For the same reason Triple Play would be valid?

So, in my book, that's against the rules. Pantheon et al argues that including them is convenient. Well, convenience does not trump the rules.
