If the credits read:

Opening Credits:
Edited By

Closing Credits:
Film Editor

and these are different people, should I list both in the profile?
If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.

No, as the rule is "Principal Editors listed when credited together"

I saw that as well, but which one should be listed?  The one in the opening credits?

I would definitely credit only the first one in the opening credits, as the only other option (according to the contribution rule) would be to credit just the second one.  And that doesn't sound quite right...

Yeah, the credited together part of the rule is why I'm asking the question.  And because it's the first time I've seen it this way.

For Hollywood films, the principle crew are usually credited in the opening credits...or the opening portion of the end credits when no opening credits are included.

That's what I've always assumed... but it isn't mentioned in the rules.

Even the Film Editor that's listed in the ending credits is listed in the opening portion of them, all by himself on screen.

It is not unheard of to have them listed in the opening as well as the closing, but the non-principle won't be listed twice.  Are they listed together in the end credits?

Nope.  The "Edited By" guy is only listed in the opening credits, while the "Film Editor" guy is only listed in the end credits.

I have come across a few profiles that have had both in them and removed the secondary film editor, contributed and gotten a few complaints, but they have all been accepted.

It kinda sucks, and I don't know why the rule makes us do it, but the end credit guy has to be left out.

I never understood, nor do I agree with, the limitations invelos has on Film Editors.

This has been discussed before and I don't contribute data when I think is done wrong.
