Proper way to profile a movie in it's own case contained in a box with swag/exclusives?

For example Ted is available from Target with a talking bottle opener. The box has it's own UPC# and the blu-ray is inside in it's standard case (sans slipcover) with it's own UPC#.

Do we treat something like this as a boxset and profile the box as the parent and list the blu-ray as a child?
And is the talking bottle opener an Other Feature and in which profile should it be entered, parent or child?

This was already contributed and it was approved today. I did, however, forget to include anything in the Edition or Other Features field about the bottle opener. I just entered the UPC (it's on the underside of the box) and scanned the front and back of the box.
My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it!

Not sure what's correct by the rules, but it seems to me that treating it as a boxset is the most sensible way. And if so, the bottle opener is definitely a feature of the parent, not the child.

Based on whhat I am seeing, no boxset. We do not create profiles for bonus discs, it doesn't have a movie on it, just special features.
ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!!

This. Blu-ray is the parent, DVD is the child.

Locally I would treat it as a boxset.

Also, I would create and submit two separate profiles as the outer box and the inner blu-ray box have different UPC's...that way, someone who just buys the standard release will benefit from a profile.

Also, locally this will be more accurate.
I have done this with my Lion King and Chronicles of Narnia: Lion the With and the Wardrobe boxsets. The outer box with all the special memorabilia features and the inner profile blu-ray.

You actually could profile the bonus disc separately, for those who don't have the version with the bottle opener but have the bonus disc. It comes in it's own envelope, so it has a "case".

But the rules explicitly forbid us to do so:

Quote:
If a Box Set contains discs of Bonus Material for individual films, do not create separate profiles for these discs. Add the information to the individual film’s profile as normal for a single film 2-Disc set. If there is a disc of Bonus Material for all films included in the Box-set, create a separate profile for this disc.

You're stretching husker. As tim pointed out, we do not create profiles for 99% of bonus discs per the rules. An envelope means nothing. You can do it locally but it is not contributable.

I'm guessing it's a reference to this part of the box set rules.

If there is a disc of Bonus Material for all films included in the Box-set, create a separate profile for this disc.

The one curiosity I have is the collector value of these included goodies, if there is any. I certainly don't know never even thought about adding them to a profile.
