This does not include shorts. However, it may include TV series episodes where three 1-hour long TV episodes (or six 30-minute episodes) are equal to one movie.
I have really slacked off lately watching movies because of a few other interests/projects that have caught my full attention. I don't think that I watched a single full movie in all of January! | | Posted: | | | | I originally picked 3 to 5 until I read about the TV and upped it to 10-15 with those added in. I'd say, on average, I watch more TV than movies unless I pick something specifically to watch.
Yet, this can change on a week to week basis. This last year I've been doing a lot of challenges over on another forum and it's really been increasing my watched stats. For 2 or 3 of those challenges, I've gotten in the 80/90 range, I'd say. Right now is a TV challenge and counting everything as one (there are mostly 30 min shows, but a fair amount of 1 hour shows and even a couple movies thrown in), I'm at 192.
Perhaps I should say higher, but I am slowing down as I get saturated with having to watch a particular theme.
Edit: Looked at Profiler and I've watched 245 movies/TV series that I own this past year (in 2012) and 44 that I rented. I'm sure there are a handful that I am not counting that I've caught on TV and didn't profile. | | | | Lori | | | | Last edited: by LJG |

A quick check of my spreadsheet (oooh, I love spreadsheets me) indicates that I watch about 40 hours of material per month (trying to pick an average length of time for movies and for an episode of TV... the TV one being difficult as it depends on the proportion of 1 hour type episodes and 30 minute type episodes) so I'd guess that equates to about 5-6 per week.
In January I watched 10 films and 39 episodes of TV (16 half hour, 23 hour long) so that works about right. | | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

Although that includes TV-Series-Marathons on weekends & Holidays. November was an odd month as I was out of town for a good part of it and didn't watch much. I'm just watching Taken, the 2002 TV mini-series, where each episode is about 85 minutes long. How many episodes do I have to watch again to equal one 40 minutes full-length movie? This is gonna sound so smart-ass, but it's not meant to. Just if my math is right, half an episode will meet the 40 minute minimum and should count.  If they are around 85 minutes each, I'd count each episode as it's own movie. My counts vary vastly week to week.
