I went to Amazon.de to get some films that were only released on Blu-Ray in Germany. But Amazon.de blocked me, as the discs were only available from third party sellers, and Amazon.de forbids all shipping to the USA from third party sellers.

I tried Grooves-inc.com but they did not have them.

I tried searching Google for German Blu-Ray vendors but I was blocked here as well, as the only results I can seem to get are for info sites and user forums.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance anyone could offer so I can get unblocked.

Try bol.de, they ship to the US.

Thanks very much for the suggestion, but I was blocked due to them not having the two films I want.

I tried bmv-medien.de, it looked promising and they had the titles I want and I think they ship to the USA, but then they blocked me by saying I have to prove I am over 18, only allowing me to order via a service that "proves" my age to them if I live in Germany. I am 42 and have been buying DVD's online for over the past 15 years and I have NEVER ONCE EVER been asked to prove my age when ordering ANY movies. Very strange.

I tried media-dealer.de, here I was blocked by them not shiping to the USA.

I tried ofdb.de, here I was blocked by the website not even being online (apparently).

The two films I am trying to buy are Spiderhole and Cherry Tree Lane.

Actually, it appears Amazon.de no longer ships movies to the USA at all, whether they are available from Amazon or not.

A very very sad day.

Tried to post on Blu-Ray.com about this. Was blocked from creating a new thread, because I'm new. Was told I could "reply only."

Tried to do that, "post not visable until a moderator approves it."

Blocked, blocked, blocked, blocked, and blocked.

It seems the Internet is so so so much more user unfriendly these days. So very different than the Internet of 10 years ago.

I must have ordered at least a hundred titles from Amazon.de.

Here are the links, if anyone wants to confirm:

http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B006K83GV6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF
http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B005KP9FTW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF

(Note the "Verkauf und Versand durch Amazon.de" - "Selling and Shipping through Amazon.de")

Add them to your cart, log in, and select your USA shipping address. Before the payment selection page comes up, you will get a message that there is a "small problem" that they will not ship you the item to the USA.

Those 2 are rated FSK18, our second highest rating, those by law should only be shipped to persons 18 years and older. Unfortunately the allowed age verification-system are, awkward to say the least.

OFDB.com is back up. Blocked here with proof of age.

Never have I spent this long, and had this much frustration, on ordering a couple of discs.

Both titles are available on Amazon UK. Have you tried ordering through them?

Only through a third party seller. Amazon UK blocks all shipping to the USA from third party sellers, regardless if the orders are fulfilled through Amazon UK or not.

Thanks for trying though!

I scanned my **driver's license** and **e-mailed** it to bmv-medien.de and ofdb.com asking for **permission** to order from them.

THAT, is crazy. But I did it... I hope this info won't get stolen and make me regret doing it.

Thanks very much for the links. Those will work for me.

I did search eBay.com. I was under the impression that International shippers who ship worldwide will have their items indexed on eBay.com. This does not appear to be the case:

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313&_nkw=spiderhole&_sacat=0&_from=R40
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313&_nkw=cherry+tree+lane&_sacat=0&_from=R40

But, those items are viewable and purchaseable from eBay.com:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120883747598

They still ship movies to the US.  It must be the specific movies you're trying to order.

I'm sorry for your trouble ordering the movies you like. Unfortunately for a lot of Europeans this is something we encounter quite often when trying to order or watch something in the US, so we feel your pain...

If Amazon let their third party sellers ship world wide like eBay does it will ease a lot of the stress!

I e-mailed Amazon.de and asked about the problem above, they replied pretty quickly and said it was a "technical problem".

Have you tried diabolikdvd.com?

They're an American based company that import European releases to the States,  and will try to get discs for you if they aren't something they stock, if you email them.

Not the cheapest price wise, but I've used them many times to get films without a lot of extra personal hassle (they also ship worldwide).
