I have rather an odd question to ask.  I have just purchased this DVD, entered it into DVD Profiler, the database titled it 'Roadmap To Hell' which is on a cardboard cover stickied to the front of this DVD case.  I've removed the cardboard cover stickied to the front of mine, trimmed it enough to fit inside the case as an insert, and I'm looking at the actual cover of this DVD now, nowhere is 'Roadmap To Hell' printed, front or back.  However.....

Pretty much everywhere you search for this DVD it's titled 'You're Not From Around Here Are You?', but the only place that made reference to THAT title on the actual case was on the security tape on the top of the unopened DVD case.  Sources: Amazon, Walmart, CD Universe, DVD Planet, Deep Discount, Family Video, and just 'You're Not From Around Here' at Best Buy and Barnes & Noble, but only titled 'Roadmap To Hell' at Movies Unlimited and TCM.

My question is: What should this DVD actually be titled?  'Roadmap To Hell' because it was on a cardboard cover stickied on the front of the case (but nowhere else on the actual case) and called that by 2 stores on the internet?  Or should it be called 'You're Not From Around Here Are You?' because it was on the security tape on the unopened case (but nowhere else on the actual case) and is called that by the vast majority of internet sites?

I made some other contributions for updates to some of the information on this DVD but left the title (Roadmap To Hell) alone pending the outcome of this thread.

What say you?      -kd5-

Per Rules the title of the DVD comes from the front cover. What is on the front cover?

If it just a sticker or a security tape, IMHO that doesn't make a slip cover or a slip case. Neither does the way it is sold by e-retailers. I think the profile title simply becomes the three titles together, as by convention a / b /c: so "Motel Hell / Wrong Turn / Needful Things". After all, that is what is on the front cover...

Just pictures of the 3 movies, and at the top it says 'Triple Feature DVD Set'.  At the top on the back of the case, same style of banner as the front it says 'Maximum Movie Experience'.  That's it, nothing else.

Sounds like to me the title for the online database should be...

Title: Motel Hell/Wrong Turn/Needful Things
Edition: Triple Feature DVD Set

Edit:
This is the cover?

If so then as far as I can tell it should indeed be what I said above.

Yes, that's the actual cover.  I was just getting ready to edit my post and add a link to the image.

So, looks like I need to scan the actual cover for this, replace the one that's in the database now (with the Roadmap to Hell cardboard cover for the pic) and rename it to just Motel Hell/Wrong Turn/Needful Things for the database.  Fun times.

You are trying to submit this triple feature version of Motel Hell over top the child profile of the double feature. You can't do this. The original (first) release must stay in the online per rules. This re-release can only be changed in your local only. If you submit yours over it you would be messing up the original profiles for all of us that has had this release for years!

If the UPC is the same on both versions that may be true but then why couldn't it be entered via disc id?

I am talking about the child profiles... he is trying to change our child profile (Disc id profile) to what he has... when the release for our child profile was out first. So it can not be uploaded or we would loose our (first release) info.

Ooooh! This is what's going on with that submission. Wasn't entirely sure.

Yeah, the profile that's currently being edited is correct as it is. Been out for years, owned it for years. The information in the current profile shouldn't be overwritten with this new info.

But how can a profile from a movie in a double feature DVD be applied to a movie in an entirely different triple feature DVD?  That doesn't make a lick of sense to me.      -kd5-

They just use the same disc id in your set as they did in our set. This happens all the time.

Per Rules since our release was out first it is our info that must stay in the online info.

If yours goes through it ruins our profiles with info that is incorrect.

Since DVD Profiler uses the disc id as the main key... one disc id can  not be in the main database more then once. This is why we have the rule for no re-release info in the main online database. Which is what this is. The film re-released in another box set.

Most of the information should be the same, cast/crew, features, etc... the differences would include cover art, overview, Media companies, release date, SRP, etc.  Unfortunately how it is setup there can be only one profile, but most of it can be easily copied from the 'new' parent for your local.

I have a few box sets that have original covers from a double feature. I have a few 8 movies that were originally released as 4-movie sets. Child profiles are the 4-movie release covers and the parent is the 8-movie cover. Echo Bridge uses the same disc id's for a film(s) in different box sets.
