Here is how to do it

From the main window menu choose "DVD" --> "Add to Collection..." --> choose tab "By Title" --> uncheck "Download profile from Invelos" (bottom of the window) --> type in a title, e.g. Headshots --> click "Add DVD" --> if the "Edit Profile" window pops up, click "OK" --> click "Add Now to ..." (whatever category you want the profile to be added to)

Add the cast/crew member to the Headshots profile: double-click the thumbnail or title in the collection list (or: select the Headshots profile and press Ctrl+E) --> choose the tab "Cast" or "Crew" --> press F3 --> type in the name of the cast/crew member --> click "Assign" and then "OK". To save the profile click "OK".

After you've collected enough headshots that you want to contribute, make a backup: first flag only the headshots profile, then from the main window menu choose "File" --> "Backup Database..." --> click "Browse..." to specify a location --> tick "Custom Backup" and keep only "Include profiles" and "Include cast/crew databases, with photos" checked --> check "Back up flagged entries only" --> finally hit "OK".

Create a new database, called HMDB.
From the main window menu choose "File" --> "Open Database..." --> click "New Database..." --> type in the name, e.g. HSDB --> if your database(s) is/are not stored in the default directory, click "Find Current" --> click "OK" --> in the pop-up hit "Yes" --> finally hit "OK".  Note: this is only a temporary database; after the whole process is finished, you should delete it.

From the main window menu choose "File" --> "Restore Database..." --> the backup file should be specified already (if not, click "Browse..." and select the file manually) --> click "Next ->" and then "OK"

From the main window menu choose "Tools" --> "Options..." --> choose the tab "Utilities" --> click "Repair Profile Database" --> in the pop-up hit "Yes". The "Data Directory" field in the repair tool window should contain the correct path to the HSDB database (if not, click "..." and select the correct COLLECTION.DAT file manually) --> tick "Custom" --> untick "Preserve cast/crew with images" --> finally hit "Repair".

This will remove all castmembers except those attached to the Headshots profile.

From the main window menu choose "File" --> "Backup Database..." --> click "Browse..." to specify a location (as filename use something like "wewonit5times_HSDB_additions_2010-06-16.dpb") --> tick "Custom Backup" and keep only "Include cast/crew databases, with photos" checked --> finally hit "OK".

EDIT:
After every successful backup/export you need to:
- delete the headshot profile in your main database and create a new one
- delete the HSDB/HMDB/whatever its name is

Hoping somebody can help me out. I just bought a new computer and lost all of my headshots. I was unaware that there was a master database and am having trouble downloading to my profiler. I'm wondering if there is something wrong because I manually added a couple of headshots, but they did not save when I quit and reloaded my profiler. I know you all are the experts, can you please help out a computer illiterate. Thanks in advance.

Well,

nothing can block headshots downloading to your DVD Profiler, this is impossible.

Please let us know what exactly you are doing step by step and tell us exactly when the error is happening.
