| | Posted: | | | | Here is a list of invalid BY's that probably exist in your database and definitely exit in one or more of the databases that were contributed for v4.
If you want to improve the accracy of your database, you'll want to remove the BY's for the following Cast members. If you plan on contributing headshot databases for v5, I strong recommend removing these BY's from your DB. If you don't, you only increase the time it takes me to clean out the bad BY's you left in. Please.

Only birthyears listed in this thread should be used. This is not possible. This thread is to document what is accepted in the database (for our own info) but is rather incomplete. |

Paul Paul: I think he is asking you ONLY to Contribute BY data IF it complies with the Rules. "Enter birth years only when necessary to differentate between two actors with the same name. When submitting a contribution that adds a birth year to one or more credits, list justification in the contribution notes." In short BY data has a specific purpose in Profiler, we don't take BY data for EVERYBODY. For example: Maximilian Schell (1930) There IS NO other Maximillian Schell other than the well-known actor who has appeared in numerous films, including Deep Impact. THEREFORE BY data for Mr. Scell would be against the Rules. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!!

| | Posted: | | | | I've decided tonight that I'm going to make it a requirement for db contributors to remove invalid BY's that I've posted here.
When someone submits a headshot db, I'm going to check it against a few random names that I've posted. If any are found with BY's and I validate that those BY's are still invalid in Invelo's database, I will reject that contribution.

| | Posted: | | | | These BY's are most likely due to the BY cleanup Ken did on the Invelos database a few months ago to purge BY's attached to only unique names. If you find someone with a valid BY and you have profiles for both (or more) persons, by all means, submit a contribution to make it a valid BY.
Note that I didn't remove the BY's for dup names with headshots. I figure that those will eventually become valid BY's. |

v4 is 303 MB, a 64% increase in file size. |
