As others have stated, Original Title is very important. Not only for foreign films but for all films, due to it's connection to the CLT. Since the CLT uses Original Title when there is one present, making sure it is correct effects everyone who uses the Credited As field. Having 4 different Original Titles for a particular movie only bloats CLT results.

So VirusPil, your question was a good one and worth bringing up.

Completely irrelevant. For all the reasons previously stated.Forum Moderator: Removed

You seem to misunderstand both his comment and my answer.

I may have misunderstood your answer, which is why I included the  , but I did not misunderstand his question.  He wanted to know which format was correct.  Easy answer:

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life

Anything beyond that is superfluous.

Further Virus doesn't clarify with a UPC/EAN he is looking at, he may well have a Region 1 US, which would make it foreign DVD but not a foreign film because in Region 1 US it is not a foreign film. So you are also speaking inaccurately in the strictest sense of the word, for what reason only you know and i can only guess and the guess is not positive.

Since Virus didn't clarify with a UPC/EAN or region, you were also speaking inaccurately in the strictest sense of the word.  For what reason, only you know and I can only guess...and that guess is not positive.

Oh so you completely missed the reference he made to the original title. You just responded to me. Cool I understand now.

Let me help you

"Got a new DVD and in this profile was as original title "Tomb Raider 2: Lara Croft and the Cradle of Life", so why not correct it?"

I did not miss that reference but, again, it had nothing to do with the question asked.  Whether it was the title or original title, the answer is exactly the same.  Besides that, the question had been answered...though it took a little teeth pulling to get there.  What I responded to was your assertion that this wasn't a foreign film.  I was confused by that statement because Virus is from Germany and, applying Occam's Razor, my initial thought was that it was a foreign film to him.

How you turned that into an attack on you is beyond me.  As I stated earlier, there is no subtext to any of my posts so you are reading things that just aren't there.

New year, new hammer.  I hope to see more of you as the year goes on.

On second thought, I hope to see less of you as the year goes on as that would mean the message was received.

It's standard moderator escalation...warning, 1 day ban, several day ban, permanent ban.  Banishment is the ultimate penalty, so it is always used as a last resort when the other bans don't work.

I know of only one person that has admitted to being temp banned, so I honestly don't know.  It's a new year and one can hope.

The problem is the correct use of ban. I was banned for telling the truth about lies, not for insults or user harassment. I considered this ban as pure censorship, and that never made me change my attitude. I'm not ashamed of what I did or I do, and when I have something to say, I say it. Ken's decision will be what he wants, as he owns this site.
