This suggestion came up during the time of the IVS <-> Invelos lawsuit several times. Those that feel the need to donate more money to the Coles (and basically, that's all we're talking about here, as several people expressed their dedication to the program they have now and the feeling of paying to little for this fine piece of software) IMO you can do the following to achieve your goal:

1. Buy more licenses for DVDP, even though you don't need them. Especially those running the program on several machines shouldn't have a problem with that.

2. Look up the threads regarding the paperwork of the lawsuit. In the documents filed to the court, you'll find the Cole's old address. I would believe they set up something to forward their mail to the new address with the old local post office. If not, try checking for the business address of Invelos, which should be updated by now. Once you have that, put a little cash-money, money order or whatever in an envelope and mail it to them. I'm sure they wouldn't mind receiving such mail every once in a while.

As for me, I'm satisfied with the terms of contract I entered with IVS/Invelos. I don't see the need to fork over additional money since I believe that Ken calculated the costs and profits resonably well to make a profit from the licenses. Especially setting up 3.x as a "must-register" version (let's be honest, the free version is only good for 50 or less titles and we all now how long this status lasts, after that the disabling of features renders the free version useless) should have created a massive revenue compared to the time at IVS (I would think TigiHof's numbers to be a VERY low estimate, I believe new full registrations and upgrades from former free users to be well into the six digit figures).

There is just one way to generate large amounts of revenue, and that is by purchasing stock in Invelos.

Not only would that provide a big influx of capital to the company for development and enhancements, it could also provide a small dividend to stockholders.  I would buy a large block of stock without any reservations at all.

Coles makes money if not they would change the way they sale the program. A lot of software has free for life one you buy programs. I think DVDP 3.0 should have require everyone to pay $30 because it is new company and light years away from DVDP 2.4

If they can't live on that or build this program then they should charge for new versions like 4.0, 5.0, 6.0 etc.

I think Invelos should sell a package version like on Amazon, Bestbuy, Walmart etc if they want more common people. Unless you know about DVDP or know someone that uses DVDP I doubt you ever heard of it.

You know The Idea behind a Great Web site ( i.e.) Amazon- Google-Ebay etc.. is the fact that eventually down the road someone will buy that Great  web site.. (Billions for Google) .

What would be the 'paying price'  for a great site such as 'Invelos'?

To give you a better idea, let's  look at what happend to a 3 year old site from  Kelowna BC.
This  company had a great little website for kids under the age of 10 who can go to this web site (Club Penguin) and play games, activities etc as well as  communicate/forum  with other Kids their own age.
Disney just this past month bought that site for between $350 to $700 Million..Not bad for a little company out of the interior of Briitish Columbia..

Maybe Ken could introduce a donation sheme on the site.  Most sites have a paypal donate button on them.
