Will get some ratings on there when I do my next update.. but fair warning... I am a bit more forgiving then most when it comes to horror... I like a good cheesy horror movie every once in a while!

Perhaps instead of simple numbers, your goal should be total runtime, otherwise there's the temptation to skip longer horror such as Salem's Lot.

oh... don't worry... I always get to Salem's Lot... Rose Red... and others like that. I know I haven't yet this year... but I am a big fan of Stephen King... so I will have to watch at least some of his miniseries. question is (and this is what stopped me so far) do I count them under TV Series (is a miniseries) or Movies? (a miniseries is like a long movie)

I am leaning towards counting them as movies since they do play out like a movie.

ohhhh... just down the hall from 1408? what happens good in that room?

Seriously though... I haven't had the chance to get/see 1408... any good?

Room 1406 was probably a better room to watch. 1408 on the other hand It did not scare me or keep me on the edge of my seat. It was kinda all over the place. But it did all tie together in the end so I guess I would say it's worth watching.

True Trick or Treating is quickly disappearing in the United States.  When I was a kid it didn't matter what day of the week it was, you went trick or treating for Halloween, of course I grew up in the 70s and the 80s.  Nowadays, if the holiday falls on a week day, it usually is formally celebrated on the weekend prior or following the day.

As far as kids knocking on your door looking for candy, I haven't seen it for well over 15 years.  People just don't trust anyone anymore, always worried about child abduction and bad candy, and danger out on the streets among other things.  It is a true testament to how far our society, at least here in the US, has declined that they no longer trust their neighbors.  As a young kid, my parents would just tell my brothers and I to stick together and then send us out on our merry way, all prior to me turning 12 and living in a huge dangerous city like Philadelphia, PA.  The only rule we ever had was to bring the candy home before we even thought of eating any.

Now I buy candy every year and I end up eating left over candy well into late November early December.  The only fun I have during one of my favorite holidays is when/if someone I know throws a Halloween party!!!
