In my opinion, the 1938 version of A Chrsitmas Carol is superior to the others. Watch it if you get a chance. I agree with you. I think the 1938 version is the best. I didn't vote for It's a Wonderful Life, which I like more than "Miracle", because it isn't a Christmas movie. I think that it might be more correct to say that most from the US (and obviously at least some from Canada) prefer the Alistair Sim performance. Reginald Owen's Scrooge is the better performance for me but I accept that views will differ. I would rate both versions ahead of many other films on your list however. |
