I'll give a greeen arrow to someone that makes a well thoughout post in a debate, even if I don't agree with their POV.

This is really a very professional attitude! Respect and thumbs up!

Personally 95%+ of my Greens are for people who provide helpful and clear info in response to a question or (as you say) let everyone know about something newsworthy that is of use to the community.

I have, though, on occasion Greened a funny post that I felt really added to the camaraderie of the Forum.

I don't think I'd Green a post just for agreeing with me unless it specifically explained why I felt a particular way and the post put it better than I could!

Yep, I agree with this - except the bit about rewarding a funny post. I wouldn't generally speaking do that. We should be trying to keep posts light hearted all the time anyway.

I don't have a set criteria. Anything that makes me smile or reflects positively upon the forum and its users will get a green arrow from me. I think if I set a specific criteria, I'll end up leaving out someone who has a post deserving of an area.

What he said....
That's the thing about racism, though, most of it is covert.

"Freedom without Socialism is privilege and injustice and Socialism without freedom is slavery and brutality."Bakunin

“It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried.”Churchill

Some people think football [and soccer] is a matter of life and death.... I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
