I loan out, but ONLY to relatives, and friends that I trust. If I don't get it back within a reasonable time (let's say 14 days) I get it back wheter they've seen it or not. As Skip says, I'm not a blockbuster And I don't loan out to people that don't have a collection that I can loan from, people that are leeches, I say that I never loean out movies, period

Having just gotten my hands back on the three discs I had loaned to a cousin ages ago, I wondered how long some of you have had discs out on loan.  The three that I had loaned out were Saving Private Ryan and Identity back on March 30, 2005 and Enemy at the Gates on April 15, 2004...all returned today!  The sad thing is, he never even watched Enemy at the Gates in those four years either! At least they're all still in good condition. No more loaning out for me.

Ah ha ha ha ha... Saving Private Ryan is the reason I got DVDP from Intervocative.  I loaned it to my neighbor when her son was a freshman in high school.  I got it back when they were moving 4 years later.  She brought it over an asked me if it was mine.  So not only did she forget borrowing it, she forgot from who it came.  I almost never loan anymore.  Every now and then I will loan to my best friend but not often.  Currently Black Sheep had been out since October.  When I get it back, there will be no more loaning ever...

I voted for Loaned Out what does that mean, as I have only ever lent out dvds once to a good friend. They looke after the dvds and gave them back in a reasonable amount of time but none the less it was still traumatising, so now I dont loan out any dvds to anyone.

My gf (we don't yet live together) seems keen to store some of my DVDs (and books) at her place (often for the DVDs they're ones we're going to watch together, and I don't think she quite trusts me to not watch them).  I used to lend DVDs to a friend who had a comparable sized collection, but what wasn't overlap was still quality stuff, and he also had access to his brother's collection (which I've only seen matched by users here, and was cool).  Unfortunately he and I are slowly becoming estranged.

Another friend is good... I just lend stuff and leave it for a while.  What's good is that she's big on comedy (especially Britcoms), so I have access to all of that pretty freely (we're close  ).
