I suspect that this will go the way that the snack food tax has gone. In California, food is not taxed. Yet, for decades the California legislature has raised the issue of placing standard sales tax on "snack" foods -- potato chips, soft drinks, Twinkies... anything they designate as luxury food. But taxing filets, and leaving chuck untaxed seems to come to kill this bill in committee every year.

Just as our legislature cannot define a snack food... and given the state (and the country's) inability to define "obscene" or "pornography" -- I suspect this tax will be as legislated as the snack food tax.

That is, talked about every year, and never sent to either the State Senate or the State Assembly floor.

Given the first films of our Governor, which at least one could be viewed as Adult Entertainment -- does anyone imagine he'd sign this?
