I also heard he had a history of heart trouble. That was news to me. Very sorry to see this man exit.
Does anyone remember the first episode of Saturday Night Live. I would imagine most were stoned.

On NPR this morning they played a clip of one of his bits on commercialism." We buy stuff, then have to buy a new house to put our new stuff, and there is a whole Storage business  to help us store our stuff!"
(But much funnier than what I just typed. )

And I can't help think how that applies to all us here with our "What DVDs have you bought this week?", and the never ending, "How do you store your collection?" threads.

Darn, I just said 3 of the words typing and correcting my spelling!

Now if they only would put his FOX series on DVD! (More stuff!!!  )

I completely forgot about his TV Series!

I never had heard of the man, but I think his show Live is Worth Losing has gotten a whole new meaning.

In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

I think I just read the worst headline ever...

'Bill & Ted' actor, indeed.
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

I've refrained from replying to any posts about George passing as I've just been too bummed out and can't find the proper words to use anyway, but this is the last straw.
First of all, yeah "the 7 words you can never say on TV" bit is alright, maybe even classic, but so far from his best material it's sickening. Can I see something else mentioned or referenced in regards to George?
Now to call him the "Bill & Ted actor", WTF? Show some respect! The man was a happy funtimeing genius and not some run-of-the-mill comic or friggin Bill & Ted character!

I just wish I had gone to see him in Vegas a few weeks ago. I saw he was there when we were, but said to myself and my girlfriend "it will probably be pretty much the same routine from the last HBO special, let's wait for next year." Screwed the pooch on that one. I still can't believe he's gone.

R.I.P. George, you were loved by so many who never even knew you and will be sorely missed.
Your contributions to comedy will never die.

According to The Buffalo News (http://www.buffalonews.com/), June 28,2008:
"Saturday Night Live is airing its first-ever episode as a tribute to George Carlin at 11:30 p.m. today on Channel 2."

Channel 2 in Buffalo is WGRZ (http://www.wgrz.com/)

I'm not sure if will be available elsewhere but hopefully you'll be able to catch it.
