One other thing that's messing with me right now:
I just did the full cast and crew for this set, but swore I saw Samuel L. Jackson in the credits at the theater. He's nowhere in the credits on the dvd (his scene at the end of the credits is still there). Was I just tripping, or did he have a credit on the film prints? Do they ever change the credits for home releases? Did anyone else see his name at the theater?

I believe I remember seeing his name too.  So, either they removed his name for the DVD or we've both been drinking from water.  *hic*

I didn't see his name in the credits when I saw it at the dollar show a couple of weeks back.  I don't think he was credited.

I picked this up, but mine had a different UPC (why not).  Then I had to exchange it.  Got it home and the menu would not come up.  Argued with them and got it exchanged.

The disc wouldn't load for me either on the PS3 until I disabled the network connection - then it came up fine.  I'll wait a week before I go to Best Buy to exchange it.

Here are some pics I took of the packaging

Thanks for posting the pics, 8ball.  They helped me decide to buy the 2-disc version WITHOUT the extra stuff.  The stuff looks neat, but now that I've seen it I'll settle for the "regular" 2-disc release.

You're welcome and to tell the truth, I think you made a wise choice . While the Mask is kinda neat, it's not really worth the extra $10 bucks IMO. And getting a decent scan of this thing is giving me a headache .

Since it won't fit either into my DVD player on onto my shelf, I'll pass.

Guess what!  I got the last 2-disc version on the shelf at my local BB -- had to dig to the bottom of a pile of 1-disc versions (they must have had 50 of them shelved) and eagerly awaited viewing it when I got home.

I took the keep case out of the slip cover and noticed that the shrink wrap was open, but it didn't look like the security tape wasn't intact, so I didn't think much about it.  I slit the security tape with my trusty box cutter, opened the case -- and found no DVDs inside!

So now I have to make a trip back to BB.

I don't know why they only put the security tape at the top, it's not hard at all to remove the disc from the case with just a top or bottom strip.
