Two? I thought they had three. If I'm not mistaken there are also indepedents who can be voted on.

Yes, but that is pretty much as useful as voting for "Superman" in a Dutch election.

Hi Guys,

I recall the conservative media, particularly Hannity, proving how lame democrats were during Bush vs Kerry, with remarks like the only reason your voting for Kerry is because of your hatred for Bush.

Now its the conservatives turn we will vote for McCain, not for what he stands for, but because we hate Obama.

Hi Dan,

should have been '...trying to prove how lame...'

As far as who I support, not 100% sure currently, but McCain scares me with his war mentality.

It seems to me that the choice for him is based on personal integrity rather than on where he stands for. This strikes me as little bit odd if I may say so.

It also has to do with where he stands relative to Mr. Obama even if people don't agree with his position on every issue.

This is BS.  A large number of democrats may have voted for Kerry because of their hatred of Bush, but most conservatives are voting for McCain because of Obama's ultra liberal (otherwise read 'Socialistic') views and NOT because of any hatred for him!

So most conservatives support McCain because of their prinicipled objection to Obama's ideas, but a potentially "large number" of liberals voted against Bush because of their hatred of him as a man?  And not their disagreement with Bush's policies as exposed in his first term?

Pull the other one, it's got bells on...

First of all I said "MAY HAVE VOTED" based on Rico's statement that media types said this actually happened.  I never said it did happen!!!!!

You should take time to comprehend what is written before responding!

See: Here

I do see the bias in this video; however too many times McCain talks of war. Also his background may have influenced his prediction for war.

Rico,

The notion that McCain's military experience makes him warlike or have a predeliction for war is kind of offbase in my opinion. This is a man who suffered for 5 years in a brutal POW facility. That was given the chance to get out b/c of his father's admiral status and declined. The notion that he likes war or is cavalier about it given these experiences seems silly.

Remember McCain became friends with John Kerry and defended him during the 2004 election despite Kerry having disparaged others who served in Vietnam. Doesn't seem like a man who holds a grudge - many other Vietnam vets have never forgiven Kerry but McCain did. That shows character. If you see other speeches of McCain he talks quite movingly about the horror of war and his support for helping veterans who come back.

This also the guy who publicly disagreed with Bush on Guantanamo and the torture issue. Clearly not a guy who behaves like a shark with blood in the water. He was thoughtful about the issue and not some crazed zealot.

There is certainly room to disagree with McCain on a lot of issues but suggesting he's war monger is not in line with his record. Nor is this overblown nonsense about his temper. Like I said he forgave Kerry (something many of his fellow veterans will never do) and helped normalized relations with Vietnam. He helped negotiate the return of MIA remains as well. He is more than capable of burying the hatchet and dealing with people with whom he disagrees.

While I am not a huge fan, I think Dennis Miller said it best...this was on the Tonigh Show..."McCain gave us 5½ years, I think we can give him 4."
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.
