I think this is more an issue on how you define a suffix. I've made this example earlier, as this problem is not new, but I'll make it again:

SF Norge AS (Svensk Filmindustri Norge AS (Swedish Filmindustry Norway)- Removing suffix this would be F.

You don't have to be very smart to see this will not go well. I'm defining a suffix as and additional information. Any part of a company name is not additional. A suffix will then be AS, (UK) and simial written in a different type of letters than the comapny name itself.

Quite correct point of view.
If I recall it correctly this rule was established to get rid of redundant data where the distributing company's location can be read out of the locality of the DVD (e.G. Warner Home Video Germany for a german DVD is unneeded). There never was an intention to castrate companies' names, and I don't see the need to do so.

In the case of tkinnen, I'd say try to contribute with the locality suffix and explain in the contribution notes why the exception to the rule is needed in this case. It's highly likely that this will work.

Still you have the possibility to induce a rule addition in a way like this:
Locality suffixes and/or company suffixes can be added if they are needed to distinguish between otherwise identical media distributors spelling on the same DVD.
Locality suffixes and/or company suffixes can be added if they are needed to distinguish between otherwise identical Studios spelling on the same DVD.

Both sentences are needed to prevent the suffix to be added in unneeded cases.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
