You don't provide much interms of detail. But it could be that the distributor for whatever the series is has decided to get serious and clamp down on the words that are written on the back of the majority of DVDS, "Not for for sale or rental outside of the Unisted States" or whatever the exact choice of verbiage is, not all distributors make such commets, but some do and perhaps someone has gottenserious about it.
For example Dreamworks states "Licensed for sale only in the U.S." Warner has a similar statement.

If that were the case, why ship Season 4 (released on the same date), and earlier Seasons 1 and 2, and make an exception for Season 3? As for the distributor, that would be Amazon.
As for the details, this is about Zoey 101, Season 3. And of course, I only want it for profiling...  No, Amazon is the reseller, they are NOT the distributor. All this time in Profiler and you don't know what the distributor is? I can't say anything for ceratin Staid. IF for some reason the distribitor decided to clamp down on the US license then Amazon cannot ship or they would be liable to not be able to sell that distributor's products any longer. I can't say that this is the reason because I don't KNOW for certain, but I do know that Hollywood is taking an increasingly dim view of US products being exported to markets they are not intended for. One of the biggest hammers used here in the US is against resellers that sell product prior to release date. Especially in this day of computers, such things are easy to track and prove whether or not release date has been violated. This can range to anything from a pre-arranged fine to the reseller, to loss of co-op advertising money. I can only relay what i know and what MIGHT be the case. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!!

Donnie might be correct, there may be a licensing issue that prevents Amazon from exporting that season. The "reason" that Amazon gave is that "the order is at a fulfillment centre that cannot ship internationally". It took them several weeks and a several email exchanges to come up with that, since originally the people at the helpdesk were as puzzled as I was. I heard that there are shipping companies that offer a 'USA address' service that allows you to buy mail-order from the States from people who otherwise do not ship beyond their own borders, and ship to a domestic USA address of theirs (the shipping company's) and thence onward to yourself. Unfortunately, I don't know any names or addresses of such companies. But you might try and find them. |
