Well, gunnar, the problem is that Kathy brought this up about a  specific title and i think you are confused, maybe I am mistaken.

Detonator was filmed and aired as made-for-TV movie on the USA Network in 1992 (if memory serves) and had the typical large and stellar cast usually associated with any Alistair MacLean book turned into a movie. The R rating is MPAA rating, not the TV rating system, as far as I know the film never had a theatrical airing unless it was in Europe, but that would not explain the MPAA rating. The data is what it is....but I can certainly understand Kathy's confusion, and i am a bit puzzled by it, BUT it is also not the first time I have seen it. It puzzerls me everytime I see it, but it doesn't confuse me because I follow the data.<shrugs>
