I think I have it visualized now and i agree

LOTR Boxset
Lotr HD Keeper
  Movie title plus Bonus Disc
  Movie title plus Bonus Disc
  Movie title plus Bonus Disc

I presume the digital copies case does not have a UPC, so I would mark the Digital Copy in the Parent.

Yes, the d/c case has no UPC.

Question about the bonus discs, they are the same exact one's released prior in the initial release (of the theatrical versions), how do I associate the bonus disc with that particular movie? Again, I don't do these often so I'm hoping those who work on child profiles can direct me.

In the meantime, I'm working on getting some After Dark Horrorfest cover scans in with info.

Same way you would with any ordinary 2-Disc Set, pick one Online and look at it. In the Disc section you simply have TWO discs for each title and tick the Features boxes that apply.

I've been advocating for years that in cases where you have a slipcover over a case with a different UPC as a box set with one child. (example: Terminator 2 Extreme, Reservoir Dogs 10th Anniversary) Most people have been opposed. I don't understand how this is different.

Ace:

Did you read my explanation on this earlier in the thread.

Let me copy it for you

The slip case had a UPC and oft times the inner case would have a different UPC. If this is a correct understanding of the situation, ultimately we will have an entry for the inner case, but it would do no good to build it now, as this will be re-released by the Distributor at a reduced SRP once the supply of covers is exhausted and we have no way of knowing what that reduced SRP will be until it is announced. Nor do we know how the re-release will be configured, we can speculate and guess,

I hope this helps you.

So what would be the SRP and release date of inner box set in this case? Leave blank and only list it in the parent?

At this point I don't think we have got a clue. The only release i know of is the boxset. I would not set up the other profile until the data came in or i would keep it locally until the data was announced.

The release date would be the same as the parent as that is when it was released.  The SRP is a little trickier.  For the time being, I think I would leave it blank.  If/when it gets rereleased on its own, I might use that SRP.

Yes, it does. And that has always been true...ALWAYS. The one difference here is that the Keep Case will be assigned as a Child to the Parent Box. Thus it will contain the ORIGINAL release data and in this case that means that the ORIGINAL release date and SRP ($0.00) will take precedence over any subsequent re-release of the same UPC. Such data will have to be maintained locally by the purchasers of the re-release.
