It is pretty obvious that those will never become a paying customer! Accounts that spam are immediately closed. The account will still exist, but be unable to post, permanently. |

BTW concerning the new one today : Who is stupid enough to rip a BR on a portable device? Kind of pointless to have a BR to downgrade is quality... |

| Posted: | | | | Unfortunately, there is always someone stupid enough to do it. Spammers wouldn't push it if they know nobody would bite. |

I rip DVDs to .avi all the time for this purpose. Sure, I'm not getting the same a/v quality, but at least I have something to watch on the plane or in the hotel room or whatever. | | | Reviewer, HorrorTalk.com

| Posted: | | | | My DVD's end up in divx format at 2022 video bit rate but my Blu's end up in WMV uncompressed (currently). Boxee on Apple can't play the voice tracks of that format though... |

| Posted: | | | | I should have been clear. I drop the DVDs to .avi strictly for convenience. I can put quite a few movies on one DVD, so I can carry less. I'm obviously not watching movies on my Zune looking for quality. | | | Reviewer, HorrorTalk.com

| Posted: | | | | I still think it would be a good idea to require the first few 3-5 posts by new users to be "approved" first before they actually appear here in the forum. They do this on other forums and Spam is virtually non-existent. Sure it's a minor hassle, but it works. | | | Corey | | | Last edited: by Katatonia |

handed out 3 red arrows today and the threads are now gone How about a moderator editing the spammers post to delete the useless information. This would serve the same purpose to effectively removing the thread. |
