I watch them IV, V, VI. I think I've only watched I, II, III once or twice each.

I hate that Lucas won't leave the originals alone as well...I think that the new tech does not mesh well with the old tech and looks weird. You can tell what isn't original which is why I'm glad I have the theatrical versions so I can watch them that way!

My 4 year-old nephew can quote all 6 movies by heart. He likes all the bad guys and can have deep, insightful conversations about them, their weapons and their actions. However, he's still young enough not to get that actors can be more than one character. He was amazed when I told him Harrison Ford also played Indiana Jones. It's the next movie series I'm going to start him on one of these days. I think he'll like the bugs/snakes that always show up.

When I was four, my two cousins would have to take me with them when they went to the Saturday matinee movies... you know, newsreel, two chapters of a serial a couple cartoons, two feature films... sometimes an appearance by a local TV personality... I saw "Blackboard Jungle" when I was four... I still remember the theater cranking up the volume for the opening credits, and then watching all the teenagers get out of their seats and dancing in the aisles to Bill Haley's "Rock Around the Clock." Show your four year old nephew "American Grafitti" if only for the amazing late '50's/early '60's music in nearly every scene. It might made a wonderful impression.

I never thought of it but I find it a very good way. I see another advantage in watching A New Hope first and Return of the Jedi last, with four movies in-between: it will reduces the feeling of déjà vu about the Death Star part of the plot.

I will give kudos to the guy that created The Phantom Edit. Since I watched I, II, and III just for the sake of completeness (and hated a large majority of stuff about all of them) when I heard of this fan version removing specific things that irritated me the most, I decided it was at least worth a single viewing.

If I was forced to watch the movies again, I'd much rather watch that again over the original version.

That also makes a good flashback to Anakin's youth before the final redemption.
