Ok, so somebody is attempting to remove the profile by disc ID. Stating:

If this is a legitimate re-issue, it should be contribute as profile id AC84-8320-7609-4EE3.

Given I'm the only one with this copy, at least no one else has contributed any changes, how does one add by profile ID? Also, is this a proper removal?

I'm getting the same thing today. Somebody trying to remove a correct Disc ID profile that has been in the database for 5+ years, which was added from a valid disc from a box set release. I obviously voted NO.

I'm slightly confused as to what is what.
Which Disc-ID was the first release and which the replacement?

Yeah, it was my mistake. When I made the profile, I must have switched something. Anyway, it's been corrected.

Their notes:
"Invelos: Please delete this profile from the database

Incorrect disc id profile. The disc id of the profile doesn't match the one in the disc info tab. The correct disc id profile has been linked to the Mel Brooks box set."

The Disc-ID in the Discs-Section of this profile shows 2003F487BB887B33 when I add it via title-search, so he is right in stating that hey don't match.

But I'm not sure that this is a valid reason to delete a profile. I dimly (and dreadfully) remember a long and heated thread about whether Disc-ID-based profiles are allowed to have multiple[1] Disc-IDs[2] but I don't remember if there was any official and final words from Invelos on this matter.

So unless proven wrong, the profile shouldn't be deleted.

cya, Mithi

[1] Even if the ID is now 2003F487BB887B33, ADC64BC581BA8316 could still be linked so if anyone tries to add this profile by Disc-ID with either disc he would get this profile and would end up with 'his' (or hers) Disc-ID in the Discs-Section.

[2] No need to regurgitate the arguments for either side, they were stated again and again and again and again ...

Somehow I missed updating the DiscID of the profile when I created the child profile.  But I've contributed it and the request to remove the profile was withdrawn.
