And, lo... in today's mail is a stiff cardboard envelope from STNG c/o Deluxe Media Management in Valencia, California containing four disc envelopes (with discs) and a nice card. The card has artwork of the curved table with six crew members standing around it, and on the other side a view overlooking the Enterprise bridge into space, with a note:
Dear Valued STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION Fan,
Enclosed are replacement discs 1, 3, 4 and 5 for your season 1 Blu-ray.
Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
We hope that you enjoy season 1 as well as this collectible postcard made especially for you.
Sincerely,
CBS Home Entertainment

Gee, they are sincere twice.

And I sincerely accept their apology.
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Well Cliff, it appears someone got theirs. Good to hear. Maybe, mine are on their way. I too will be patient. What other choice do I have. I want it done right rather than quickly. I think my point on Paramount's QA was right on even if some choose to overlook it.

Cliff, let us know how well they did when you get a chance. Thanks.

I am certain I will find them good... because I found little fault with the original discs... I run the sound through my TV and out of it to a basic 2-channel stereo... high fidelity, but not any sort of surround sound. Let's await someone with a high-end surround system to read how well or poorly they've done. (I got mine because I intend to upgrade the sound system some day... and why get left behind?)

The replacement package arrived today. There were a couple of other changes for this UK edition apart from the new EAN:-
a)  the spine now has an Enterprise Delta logo in red under the CBS Blu-ray logo on both Slip Cover and insert cover
b) the rating text has been changed

I was quite impressed with what I saw of the initial release but I'm not too sure when I'll get to view any from this release.

Mine arrived on Friday 9/7/2012, as described by VibroCount.

I used the "email" method rather than calling in.

Nice to see actual customer service in action!

Finally got mine as well Thursday. Have checked out the first disc and all seems fine in the audio dept. so far.

Though the image is most often very good darker areas of the screen can get rather grainy or fuzzy in my view alot of the time. My guess is the original print is at fault. They can only do so much I suppose but it is something of an annoyance.
