So this comes down to two simple questions...are these people actors and are they credited.  I don't have this movie so can't answer those questions but, based on the information provided, it would seem the answers would be yes.

Yes and yes although having watched the movie today I would use the term "actors" very loosely for some of the supporting cast.

Based on what is provided, the user says that these added actors are outside the cast list and thrown into crew. How do you determine that they are cast. I can't, we are rationalizing an answer to reach a desired result, butbit certainly is not logical has no basis and no merit. Just a bogus argument based on a desire otherwise known as an emotion.

Now come on, Kathy, you are stretching for that one. Like I said if what you say is correct anyone listed after cast is cast, accountants, caterer, gaffers and all other data.

The rules are clear - I have quoted the relevant section.

Can you please quote the exact section in the rules to back up your statements?

Unless you can show where the rules prohibit this data there is nothing further to discuss.

Edit: Another example of this type of data being allowed are Puppeteers. They often are listed after Crew and are valid Cast credits.

Seriously?

They are assigned a role...the role they played in the film.  That makes them credited actors.  Per our rules, we enter all credited actors regardless of where they are listed.  The only way your argument makes sense, at least to me, is if you, somehow, believe that 'Basketball Players' or 'Hawks Player' or 'Dutchmen Player' is a crew credit.

At this point, what the movie is is not really relevant. I think the gaffers appeared, along eithe key grips. Somebody please make some sense and give me something I can really sink my teeth into, instead of nonsense. Btw double uncredited have to be documented, you can't just throw them in there.

Can someone help? I'm profiling Little Shop of Horrors, but there is no cast section. There's a section called players, but Levi Stubbs comes before that. So do I list list no one in the cast or everyone except Levi Stubbs?

I said there had to be verification.

HAHAHAHAHAH  Skip... wow....

They are basketball scenes, of people playing basketball.  What is there not to get?  Where in the rules does it say not to add them.  Please post that portion of the rules. (Not holding my breath as it won't happen)

Yes seriously.

Kathy like I said you are stretching that rule way beyond its intended meaning. That should be obvious without me having to say a word. And don't pull the your opinion is no more than mine, because that is bunk. You had no involvement in the rules at any stage. So all you can do is guess and stretch, which you are doing grandly. Please I don't waznt to fight but no one is giving anything valid.

The gaffer places lighting on rigs and a key grip leads the crews that place these rigs. They only end up in the movie in the case of accidents and the occasional fourth-wall-breaker like Tropic Thunder. Dancers and basketball-players are hired specifically to be in the movie.

instead of nonsense.

Calling other people's opinions 'nonense' is no way to have a constructive discussion so, at this point, I am done with it.

As far as I am concerned, the answer has been given and is in complete compliance with the rules.

Skip.
You made some points in the Orion thread that can be applied to this one:

Quoting Winston Smith:
Quote:

As explained whether you believe or not the rule is obvious and clear...

Period, not hard to understand at all. Now you can take issue with that as you wish, but that will not change anything today. The rule says what it says...

I deal with the rules as they exist right this second, I have no ability to make modifications, or changes to them. I don't care what you want the rule to be, I deal with what it is.

I will ask you one final time - QUOTE THE RULE THAT BACKS UP YOUR STATEMENTS.

If you can't, or won't, it lessens the validity of your argument and further discussion is a waste of time.

Kathy

I slid possess knowledge to make a statement like that. Point blank. You don't and not only are stretching to make the rule fit your desired result, I think you know that you doing it purposely. Just my opinion. But you are treating that rule like its elastic and can encompass whatever you want it to, while ignoring that had ramifications far beyond your claim. Like I said I don't want to fight, but I want someone to make sense. And no one is, that I can see, just a bunch of gibberish and nonsense. Sirry

So?  What does that have to do with anything at all?
