The last in the collection, Quantum of Solace, is not CC.
Who knows what rationalization they use, maybe on re-releases if they had CC on the old release.

I have not seen CC on anything new released in the last few years. Well at least I have not purchased a newer released title where it was on there.
And Pete, nice to see you took the Blu-ray plunge!!!! |

So I suspect more BD are missing their CC marking. I would suspect that is the case, on a re-release if they are using the same disc image it would be there. And we all know how covers can be inaccurate. Since they do not seem to put CC on new releases now, they probably don't want to advertise on the re-releases that they could have it. |

Ensure in your settings all the internet is shut off if you don't have it connected. Some players attempt to start the connection every time the disc requests internet content. And depending on the time out value it can slow things down. Mainly in the startup. I understood that your tv doesn't have HDMI connector, but doesn't it have Component Video connectors or S-video? Composite (AKA Composhit) has the worst possible picture quality and I don't believe that you can see any difference between Blu-ray and DVD while using it. It's even hard to notice any difference with a good quality VHS. I once had to use composite for a minute while testing and the picture quality was unwatchable. |

@Pete:
If your own TV has component connections (red, green and blue), it would definitely be preferable to use those to connect your blu-ray player (in combination with RCA jacks for audio, the white and red ones) over a composite video connection (yellow). Kulju is absolutely right there. |

Keep in mind that all Blu-ray players manufactured after 1/1/2012 will not do up-scaling for you DVD's though composite video. Another corporate jab to get all of us to buy new TV's. |

I had a decent size collection of DVD's, but in 2005 most f them were stolen. The Hi-Def format wars started raging. So waited started collecting again in 2007. So I am at 1583 Blu-rays and 91 DVD's.
