The parentheses are no where in the credits... so against the rules.
Himself/Herself is not in the credits... so against the rules.

There is roles shown... so they must match exactly per rules. I certainly understand your point of view, but I'm in the camp that doesn't necessarily consider these "roles". Following that line of thought, the rules also say you can assign roles per identification, etc. if none given. In that case, Himself, Herself, Interviewee, etc. would be fair game. Going back to Caleb's comments, I don't think listing "Granddaughter" or whatever is any more helpful than "Herself" as at first glance it looks like she's an actress playing the role of a Granddaughter. On the other hand, "Herself (Granddaughter)" is pretty darned helpful. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection

Well taken, but that relegates the actual role as given in the film or its credits to a parenthetical, instead of adding the "Self" information in that manner. This is why I suggested, years ago, a flag denoting "Himself/Herself," so we can give the role as credited and record the fact that this role is that of the participant's identity in relation to the subject, rather than a character in a play. |
