I can agree, as long as we define the term "Appropriate".  There are many different UPC's in our DB that have the very same copy of the movie.  I do not think that it would be "Appropriate" to add "special edition" just to differentiate.

In my opinion, I think that the edition, whether standard or not, should be on the cover someplace.  I really do not think a publisher website would qualify as to that.

A sticker, while maybe not the best option, may work.  Though, I can see a problem, especially since the scan in the DB is supposed to be sticker free.  With this, I can see argument ensuing.

If it is not on the package someplace, then I can also see arguments happening "What makes this a special Edition?"

As far as the OP's question, my answer would have to be no.  A publishers site would not be appropriate
