There is not enough information to make a determination yet, as the Blu-Ray in the original post does not even come out until mid July.

watched both volumes. The on-screen title is Nymph()maniac.

And for this edition, the title will be  ()

I love this rule that allows a perfect searching

No, () is a logo. Same as MIB. The title is under it.

Same as MIB ?  OK, let's see what is in the database :

So that makes title :
() - Nymph()maniac "Volume 1&2"
... not much easier for searching

Just because people got it into the database doesn't make it correct.  I agree with ateo, it's just a logo.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

What is a logo ? Isn't T4xi a logo ? But most people here consider it as a title. And why MIB is a logo and not E.T. ???

Do you consider the title of this film only  "The Extra-Terrestrial" ?

No E.T is in the on-screen title. You need to get better examples for your argument on () not being a logo. Whether it makes it into the database as part of the DVD title, doesn't make it correct. (DA)

You were the first to speak of logos. You need more arguments to prove () is a logo. And what is a logo, concerning individual movies titles ? How to use it, or not, per the rules ? As usual, the ones that always tell other users they must follow blindly the rules are the first to interpret them each time they want. Rules say "Use the title from the front cover". Show me where they speak about logos. I need no argument : the online database is a mess with absolutely no consistence, because rules are poorly written. This discussion began with "T4xi", that was imposed by users who wanted "exacly as on cover" data, and will never end...

In this case I do not see () as a logo.  It is clearly as part of the type "NYMPH()MANIAC".  They are all presented as standard characters within the same type facing.  And it is repeated on the spine.

MIB got it's ruling because of it's graphical representation.

I was talking about the Box set with the large () on the cover. The title on screen also includes the () instead of an o. So the Movie title is Nymph()maniac: Vol. I and Nymph()maniac: Vol. II.  And the rule does state - For titles which include periods, dashes, or other symbols, check the credit block on the back of the case if included. If not, check the film credits or opening sequence. Use these to determine whether to exclude or convert the symbol to a standard character such as ".", "-", or "*" . Don't see what the problem is, but every USA DVD has the wrong title for DVD and origianl title. Must be because they were contributed before the actual DVD release.

It is not a box-set. It is a single blu-ray. The movie inside is Nymphomaniac, Volumes 1&2

This part of the rules was made for symbols that are not standard characters and have to be converted to be entered in the database. As "(" and ")" are standard characters, this part of the rule does not apply. Only the general rule applies  (Use the title from the front cover), since everything can be entered with the keyboard without any conversion.
