The actual credit is " Title Song Performed By Sheena Easton."  In my opinion, that is a crew credit that I have seen many times before.

This is no different than any other crew member that has a cameo.  I would enter her as 'Sheena Easton as Herself (Uncredited).

Since when does "performed by" get a credit? I thought only the song writers get credit for song writing. I can see performed by as a local custom, but not contributable.

I'd say she gets cast as herself uncredited, and that's it. She didn't write the song, can't get writing credit.

While I see how you read his statement.... I believe that is what Martain is saying.... no crew credit. But can do an uncredited cast credit.

That is my understanding as well.

Please don't misunderstand.  I said it was a crew credit, which it is, not a contibutable crew credit, which it isn't.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Cool, sounds like we are in agreement then. I did misread the Martian, it sounded like he had seen that credit on contributions before, but was saying he's seen it on many a film credits. Hope this means no purge of these credits from the database is needed.

No credit except for uncredited cast role.
