And you seriously believe that he is going to contribute a profile.

Hey! I contributed some removals of invented vapour profiles lately. And I would contribute a lot more removals if I only had the time.

While writing the rules this is something we went over and over in multiple threads. And when it came time for a decision from Ken he decided to go even stricter then any of us was fighting for and went with no UPC then no profile.

Another irritating rule from the First Age. But now we have alternate versions. So that we can use the Disc ID for the Individually packaged Seasons, the natural order of a TV Series. With their marvellous cover artwork, and specific Case Type.

In the same locality as the odd disc level profiles.

From the rules:
Quote:
Note: In cases where multiple complete TV seasons/series (each with distinct UPC/EAN) are packaged together, the Box-set rules are applied, treating each season/series like a single film - applying the above rules for its individual profile.

Base on that note, you can only create a season profile if it has a distinct UPC/EAN.

This note, and the whole section, does not apply. The TV Series in question is not "on DVD" but on Blu-ray.

If that is the case, then you can't contribute this set at all because the rules only allow for TV Series on DVD.

Or he could try to understand "falsa demonstratio non nocet", but we know that this might be impossible for him.

Wouldn't one have to take his posts seriously to have such a reaction?  I can't imagine that anyone here still does.

That would also mean we'd have to delete a lot of information from the current database since the rules consistently refer to DVD and not Blu-ray or UHD Blu-ray.

Say what?

From the Rules: What to Contribute ... Blu-ray Video discs: These discs contain movies, television shows, ...

There is no Lex specialis for TV Series on Blu-ray.

True enough, but if you read the note I mentioned, it is not a "Clarifications to the standard Rules for TV Series on DVD," it is a note concerning cases where multiple complete TV seasons/series (each with distinct UPC/EAN) are packaged together.  While the chart above the note is specific to TV Series on DVD, the note itself is not.

And, as long as we are being purposely obtuse, from the introduction...The authoritative source for information submitted should be the DVD itself.  Please don't submit content from a third party database, and always verify the specifications printed on the cover.  In both cases, errors abound, so always verify the information directly from the DVD whenever possible.

Since the information you are submitting should come from the DVD itself, and you're contributing a Blu-ray profile, it must be a blank profile...or are you using the DVD version as your source?

When the entire argument, not debate, is absurd, there is no upper hand to be had.

I been following bbbbb's posts for 7 years. Once you respond, you've lost the upper hand. Anyone who tries to infuse logic or BS in an absurd argument/debate is a fool.
