How are going to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who?

Doctor Who News

Doctor Who has to be one of the most popular series in DVD history, the longest running TV SciFi series. After all there are 1020 profiles on the INVELOS online data base, 296 for USA/Canda.

I enjoy Doctor Who, but never a serious collector. It has been some time since it has been shown on PBS. I looked into it, but was totality snowed vastness the series. Hell they probably teach college courses on Doctor Who in the UK.

Why am I reactivating this forum entry? Well, I noticed the Doctor Who: Series 1-7 Limited Edition Blu-ray Giftset and decided to look into into it.

Then I remembered this forum entry and I decided to check my own Doctor Who DVDs.

I think I'll pass, since I already have Series 1 thru 6, Specials and a few others, I'll just order Series 7 that was just release in the USA. Although the Doctor Who Universal Remote Control Sonic Screwdriver is kind of neat.

Ash's useless trivia portion of brain won't help you much, but it does contain the doctors by name in order:-

William Hartnell
Patrick Troughton
Jon Pertwee
Tom Baker
Peter Davidson
Colin Baker
Sylvester McCoy
Paul McGann
Christopher Eccleston
David Tennant

With a quick appearance as the good doctor by Peter Cushing in "Daleks' Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D."

So there you have it.  My brain is officially full of crap.

Don't forget

Matt Smith
John Hurt (just the one episode)

and the, er, next one whose name escapes me ...... Capote or something.

Peter Cushing was in two film, both with the Pepperpots

Also it's the type of TARDIS the War Chief; a renegade Timelord played brilliantly by Edward Brayshaw; builds for his boss, The War Lord in the classic Dr. Who story The War Games.

You mean some people don't know this?

I finished a marathon viewing last night of 12 fantastic episodes of awesome Patrick Troughton action in Enemy of the World and Web of Fear.

This is so much better than modern Who.

The stories had plots with endings that you could understand, excellent production values and companions who you can really care about.

Cheers
Kelvin
