Some may say I'm a bit crazy, but I spent somewhere in the low 6 figures for an extremely rare print of La Fin Absolue du Monde.  It's a one of a kind film and few have seen it.

I have open screenings in my home theatre to all who wish to view it.  Just let me know...

SIX FIGURES ?!

as in at least 100,000 dollars, euros, BPS, rubles, rupies, or yen ???

... are perhaps you meant you traded six Jedi Knight action figures

Don't worry, Vega has just been seeing too much of Masters of Horror.

Season 1, Episode 8: John Carpenter's Cigarette Burns
Original Air Date: November 2005
With a torrid past that haunts him, a movie-theater director is hired to hunt for the only known print of a film so notorious that its single screening caused the viewers to become homicidally insane.
That film is  La Fin Absolue du Monde...

@ THEMADCHEF and Rory:
If you guys can play R2 PAL discs, you can pick up an R2 release of 1984 for almost nothing.

Cheers,
DJ

I think my 2 most expensive would be Chance (2003), a film by Amber Benson, for USD 55,- in 2005, and Kill Bill Vol.1 (4988102978914) (Japanese version), for EUR 49,43 in 2005.
Normally I have a strict rule to not pay more than EUR 15,- for a movie, but all rules have exceptions

I've been looking for a new copy of 1984 and right now the cheapest i can find it is $134.95 on Amazon.com, I'm hoping they will release it again, like, maybe a Criterion Collection release would be nice.

If you are partial to the wonders of PAL Region 2 you can get it here for a bargain!
